Overview of the Foundry Activity

Development and production of technical castings, designed for a wide range of applications, with unit weights ranging from 0.5 kg to 15 tons, primarily in market segments with low to medium volumes.

Parts can be delivered raw or machined, painted, or assembled.

The SLF Group has a strong command of a broad range of cast iron grades, enabling us to meet most application requirements, whether for mechanical strength, vibration resistance, wear or corrosion resistance, or for high or low temperatures (-50°C).

Engineering and Customer Support

Co-design and Co-development support : Dimensional and functional optimization, weight reduction, design-to-cost, conversion from welded assemblies to cast iron.

Our team of experienced engineers supports clients in co-design initiatives and design assistance. Equipped with advanced development, calculation, and simulation software, these studies address potential issues early in the project lifecycle, enabling us to deliver the most suitable and efficient solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.

Co-Design & Simulation

A dedicated team of professionals is available to support clients throughout their projects, assisting in design validation and optimization. The goals of this Co-Design approach are to shorten development lead times, extend product lifespan, and ensure seamless integration into its operational environment.

Technology Transfer

Technology transfer consists in the conversion of welded steel assemblies into single cast iron components. This process aims to optimize mass, improve machinability, stabilize material properties, and ultimately reduce costs.
